After a death, how does a family reconstruct?
Is it possible to come back from grief?
This short fable-like story follows
the journey of a cloud family through
the loss of one of it’s parts, and it’s
stages of reconstruction following.
The film was created from 68
paintings of clouds and reworked
into a 4 minute digital animation.
This was a collaborative group
project, my main role was as the
animator. I worked closely with the
painter to reinvent her painting
series to be narrative, animated,
visual poem.

Carine Valette, Eskimo, and
Audrey Guttman.
