This installation focuses on the fluctuations of imposed and perceived identity.

The exhibition is centered around two short animated films retracing the life stories of two people, Mr. Safdar and Georges. Like myself, both had left their country of origin in their late teens, respectively Pakistan and Syria, to join France. Over the course of a year, I met with the 1×1 every week for an interview. We spoke about why we left our countries, what we were searching for, the political contexts, and the failures.
